Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Budgetaris Inc. ("Budgetaris", "we", "us"), a Colorado corporation located at 2810 Arapahoe Way, Suite 400, Denver, CO 80205, collects, uses and protects personal information through the budgetaris.life website and the Budgetaris Desktop service. This policy applies to visitors of our website, prospective customers, and users of our software. By using the website or the service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information provided by your employer when your company subscribes to the service.
Information you provide. When you fill in the contact form, request a walkthrough, create an account or write to us, we collect identifiers such as your name, work email address, company name, job title, company size and the contents of your message. If you correspond with support, we keep the correspondence and any information you choose to share to resolve your question.
Information collected automatically. When you visit budgetaris.life, our servers and analytics tools collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of each visit. When you use the desktop application, we collect diagnostic data needed to operate the service, including version numbers, synchronization status and crash reports, which may contain only technical details, not the contents of your models.
Information from your employer. When a company subscribes to Budgetaris, the account owner provides the names and work emails of the users they authorize. We process planning data — budgets, forecasts and related business information — solely on the instructions of the customer who controls the account.
How we use information
We use personal information for the following purposes: to respond to your requests and provide customer support; to operate, maintain and secure the Budgetaris service; to create and manage accounts; to send service notifications, invoices and administrative messages; to send marketing communications where you have consented or where permitted by law, with an unsubscribe option in every email (consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act); to detect, prevent and investigate fraud or abuse; to improve our website and product through aggregated analytics; and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your budget or planning data for advertising, and we do not train machine-learning models on customer data.

Sharing and service providers

We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena or other legal process, when needed to protect our rights or the safety of users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will require the buyer to honor this policy. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act give you rights over your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, delete personal information we have collected, correct inaccurate personal information, and limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information, so no action is needed, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise your rights, email [email protected] or write to Budgetaris Inc., 2810 Arapahoe Way, Suite 400, Denver, CO 80205, Attention: Privacy. We will verify your identity using the information you provide and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will require proof of authorization.
Do Not Track and CalOPPA
Our website does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals at this time, because no uniform industry standard for responding to such signals has been adopted. We comply with CalOPPA by publishing this policy, disclosing how we collect and use information, and providing a clear mechanism for you to contact us with privacy questions. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
Children
Budgetaris is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookie Policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings as explained there.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law; account data is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to allow reactivation, after which it is deleted or de-identified. We protect personal information with the administrative, technical and organizational controls described on our security page, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of the policy and, if the changes are material, notify you by email or through the service before they take effect. Continued use of the website or service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
